Band leader and musical director of arguably one of the most popular salsa bands in the world, the "Spanish Harlem Orchestra", Oscar Hernandez's talent as a pianist, composer, producer, and collaborator, has influenced the successful careers of legendary artists such as Ruben Blades, Ray Barretto,and many others. Oscar's musicianship has afforded him opportunities to perform with many luminaries; Tito Puente, Celia Cruz, Willie Colón, Earl Klugh, Oscar DeLeon, just to name a few. His musical collaborations on Broadway have included Paul Simon's The Capeman, along with other Broadway collaborations including Quien Mato A Hector Lavoe, and The Mambo Kings. With decades of experience performing with top Latin jazz and salsa artists in the world, Oscar Hernandez composes some of the best arrangements available on the market today.
