This arrangement was of Summertime was recorded in 1949 for the first 'Charlie Parker with Strings' recording session. This chart, arranged by Jimmy Carroll, features solo alto saxophone along with 3 violins, viola, cello, harp, guitar, piano/celeste, bass, and drums. There is no oboe part in this arrangement.
