Azucar is a Latin chart loosely based on Staney Turrentine's "Sugar". The melody is played by a trio (trumpet, alto, tenor). The solo section can feature anyone in the band, and the simple changes and authentic backgrounds will make them sound great! (a sheet of changes is included). 5-4-4-4, plus optional Latin percussion, flute, and vibes. Notated rhythm parts and moderate brass ranges (lead trumpet to high C in the last bar only).
