"Zoo" is a hard driving medium-up (mm=156) opener that sounds hip, has an easy solo section, and will make your young band soung GREAT. The melody is played by altos and trumpets, with backgrounds added on the repeat. The solo section has chords cued in Alto 1, Tenor 1, Trumpet 2, guitar, and piano. The solos are based on D dorian and F dorian-eight bars each. Even young soloists will feel comfortable on these changes. Notated bass lines (also with changes) and suggested piano voicings are supplied. Easy.
