The tenor giant Dexter Gordon was and still is the backbone of the SteepleChase catalog throughout the years since producer and label owner Nils Winther issued the first SteepleChase recording by Jackie McLean in 1973. The collaboration between Dexter Gordon and SteepleChase in the year 1974 • 1976 coincides with the artist's peak of his creative power and these recordings are considered by many to have been his best. This box set is a limited edition and will not be remanufactured after available copies run out.
