TOO MARVELOUS FOR WORDSMP3 and/or Windows Media sample(s) available

AS RECORDED BY FRANK SINATRA

ARRANGED BY NELSON RIDDLE, TRANSCRIBED AND ADAPTED BY WALT STUART

Late in 1955 and early in 1956 Frank Sinatra went into the Capitol Studio with Nelson Riddle and recorded one of the best and most famous albums of all-time: 'Songs for Swingin' Lovers.' We are very proud to offer the chart 'Too Marvelous for Words' from this classic record.

This definitive version is a very famous chart crafted by the brilliant arranger Nelson Riddle. Instantly recognizable from the first few notes. This has been adapted to suit a big band lineup of 5 saxes (see the double info below), 4 trumpets, 4 trombones, guitar, piano, bass, drums, and vocals. The vocal key is F.

Doubles:

  • Altos 1 & 2 double on Flute
  • Tenors 1 & 2 double on Clarinet

On the reverse side of the above parts we have included alternate parts that do not require doubles.

    Ranges:

  • Trumpet 1: to high C
  • Trombone 1: to high A
  • Vocal Key: F

Please note that the mp3 sample has an anti-piracy tone every 30 seconds.
