Hello again from ejazzlines!
Spring has finally arrived, and here we are again to suggest some new items with which to properly usher in the new season. We would like to mention that we will soon have a very exciting new item available for the legions of Maynard Ferguson fans out there,
The World of Maynard Ferguson, a brand new limited edition DVD featuring performances, interviews, and rare footage.
We will have this in stock and available for purchase very soon, so please check our April Jazz DVDs new release pages frequently, as this item is sure to be a hot seller, and will be available in very limited quantities.
We also hope to soon have our first regular contributor to the site, someone with a peerless jazz pedigree, who should soon grace our pages with her column, which will talk about jazz, travel, and her truly unique perspective
on some of the greatest jazz names of the past half century. Please keep an eye out for these upcoming developments, as we continue to broaden our offerings in an effort to provide you all with a truly first-class and constantly evolving jazz experience.
April's books start off with a brand new release from our good friends at Kendor Music called Kendor Recital Solos,
with several editions available. These books will surely be an outstanding teaching and practice tool for the young instrumentalist. The fine folks at Mel Bay have just released
Popular Guitar Styles: Samba and Bossa Nova, which we are happy to add to our excellent selection of Latin Jazz books.
Hal Leonard has just released Introduction to Jazz Guitar Soloing and another Norah Jones book for piano, Come Away With Me.
We also mention once again one of Marchs most popular books, and indeed one of our best-selling drum book/DVD packages in a while, Inside the Big Band Drum Chart.
April's DVDs feature a new release from John McLaughlin's Shakti, featuring a documentary on the band as well as various live footage.
It does seem to be a guitar month, as we also have a brand new Robben Ford live DVD, and a new,
lower-priced release of Pat Metheny's Imaginary Day. For the blues fans out there, we have just added more Live at Montreux DVDs,
featuring Otis Rush, Eric Clapton,
and Carlos Santana presenting Clarence 'Gatemouth' Brown, Buddy Guy, and Bobby Parker.
We also have brand new educational guitar DVDs featuring a lesson on Contemporary Fingerstyle Guitar and a
Guide to the Capo.
Finally, we again would like to remind everyone of some of March's very best, which include a hot seller from Eric Alexander's great band, Prime Time in Concert, a CD/DVD set,
a 2-DVD set featuring Duke Ellington concerts,
and the long-awaited DVD release of the classic documentary, Blue Note: A Story of Modern Jazz.
In our massive monthly effort to present all that is new and interesting, as of this newsletter we have added a total of
20 new CDs for the month of April 2008 and
102 for the month of March 2008;

In our DVD section, we now carry nearly 1,600 jazz DVDs!

We do our best to predict demand and fill orders as quickly as possible, but we do run out of new releases.
