Hello again from ejazzlines!

Well, it is over 80 degrees in upstate New York, so we have officially declared that it is spring! While many of you have been very generous in helping out with our Toshiba CD liquidation, we still have quite a few rare and wonderful titles available. Please be advised that we have most of these in very limited quantities which will not be re-stocked. Serious collectors take note: we will have another offering in mid-May of a couple hundred titles, many of which we will have only 1 copy! We are also proud to offer a brand new Big Band play-along from Hal Leonard, available in eight different editions.

May's DVDs feature a wonderful documentary on the greatest of jazz singers, Ella Fitzgerald, and a vintage performance from the legendary Weather Report live at Montreux in 1976. The well-respected, veteran drummer/educator Danny Gottlieb has 2 brand-new DVDs called The Complete All-Around Drummer, available separately or as a 2-DVD set. We are also still featuring a great new DVD which has gotten a tremendous response: Trumpet Secrets Revealed, which is loaded with info and interviews and is a must for all trumpet players.

We are now offering Mosaic sets to libraries and institutional customers in the U.S. and abroad! For those of you not already familiar with the label, since its founding in 1983, Mosaic Records has established a worldwide reputation among knowledgeable jazz fans as the best reissue label in the business. Mosaic's limited edition boxed sets are collections of significant jazz recordings packaged in a way that shows great respect for the music, the musicians, and the music lover. Their releases are the standard by which all other reissues are judged. If you are currently set-up with us as a library or institutional customer, you will be able view and purchase sets from our website by visiting this page: MOSAIC RECORDS. We will be sending a more comprehensive announcement with complete details in the coming weeks.

We have quite a few new books as always, including new releases from Hal Leonard focusing on Latin Styles for Guitar and Chords for Bass, a new Andy LaVerne book for pianists from Jamey Aebersold called Quick Chords, and a brand new Larry Coryell autobiography, Improvising - My Life in Music.

In our eternal effort to present all that is new and interesting, as of this newsletter we have added 58 new CDs for the month of May 2007 and 170 for the month of April 2007; 20 new DVDs for May 2007 and 45 for April 2007; 29 new music books for May 2007 and 92 for April 2007; 51 new big band and combo arrangements for the month of April 2007 and 35 for the month of March 2007.

If you haven't visited our our Imports and Rarities section lately, you really owe it to yourself to check it out. We are now stocking more and more obscure, rare, and hard-to-find titles from Japan and Europe, including many titles that you may not be able to find elsewhere.

In our DVD section, we now carry nearly 1,400 jazz DVDs!

As always, please keep in mind that many of our new releases are available in limited quantities. We do our best to predict demand and fill orders as quickly as possible, but we do run out of new releases. Even if we run out of stock, everything featured in this newsletter should be available to ship within 3 weeks.

We thank you all again very sincerely for your continued support, and we look forward with all of you to the end of school and the beginning of festival season!
