There is a classical air about this arrangement. The saxes present the melody in the classical sax quintet style. Your trombone soloist will need some chops and endurance! For the rest of the brass, it is a chart for them to rest on. I like to use it right before the closer. The E6 in the trumpet 1 part is at the end of a one measure fanfare so that shouldn't be a real issue. Solo section written for trombone, tenor sax 2, or rhythm section. It is a nice feature for the more accomplished, albeit classically oriented trombone player in your group.
