A musical tribute to sibling rivalry, "Bickering" is a challenging, quasi-atonal arrangement that allows the three horn sections to get into a musical argument both as ensembles and soloists. The melody ricochets back and forth between alto sax, tenor sax, trumpet and trombone before the horn sections trade angular soli sections with each other. The trading continues between the four soloists before the ensemble as a whole engages with some back-and-forth with the drums before the knotty melody returns one last time.
