DECEMBER NOTES: We are extremely pleased to present another wonderful chart from the historic Charlie Parker With Strings sessions, April in Paris.
We also enthusiastically welcome Michele Fernández to our publishing family with three of her highly interesting, original, and creative arrangements. They are all below in traditional paper and PDF download formats.
Brand new is another in our Frank Sinatra Series, Quincy Jones's arrangement of My Kind of Town, prepared using the original score. Sinatra first recorded this song in 1964, conducted by Nelson Riddle. The arrangement used for the 1965 summer tour with the Count Basie Orchestra and performance and recording at the Sands Hotel the following year was an adaptation created by Quincy Jones. This publication was prepared using Quincy Jones's original pencil score.
Also brand new is John La Barbera's Watson's Walk as written for Buddy Rich. And we have another two new ones from the Dave Pell Octet, Suze Bluze from Marty Paich and Jim Emerson's arrangement of I've Got a Crush on You; these are more that have been prepared using the original parts from Dave Pell's library - these are not transcriptions.
