The highlight of the month was the release of Billy Strayhorn's My Little Brown Book, which is also now a part of our expanded ...and his mother called him Bill Jazz Lines Publications Series. We also have another of Gerry Mulligan's arrangements of Walkin' Shoes, this one the tentet version as recorded with Chet Baker. The latest release of ours from Rob McConnel is another very difficult, challenging, and original chart of his, Alexander's Ragtime Band. Brotherly Shove is our newest Frank Foster/Count Basie release, and Discommotion is our newest newly engraved and re-edited chart of Frank's. Walrus Music Publishing's recent highlights were Elvin's Empire, a tribute to Elvin Jones from John Fedchock, and Speed Trap from Dylan Canterbury.
We also have a new vocal arrangement of Silver Bells from Rick Stitzel, available as a paper copy or an instant PDF download. The newest in Hal Leonard's fantastic Little Big Band Series is Don't Get Around Much Anymore as arranged by Mark Taylor. Lush Life Music's newest include But Not For Me as recorded by Julie London and Serenade in Blue from Frank Sinatra and Neal Hefti. Finally, we are very pleased to make two of our best-selling Kendor charts available as PDF downloads, Thad Jones's A Child is Born and Sammy Nestico's Hay Burner.
