Although this chart is mostly based off of the old Tin Pan Alley standard "By the Light of the Silvery Moon," be sure to keep your ears open for the references Tom Kubis throws in to other moon-related standards. Taken at a medium swing tempo, the arrangement largely mimics the style of the Count Basie Orchestra while incorporating some more modern harmonic and melodic ideas along the way. The mid-arrangement solo is for tenor sax.
