This is a hard swinging bluesy chart that has shades of the great Bill Holman. Over a catchy bass riff the melody gets passed around during the head, and there is plenty of contrapuntal writing to follow. Solos are written into the piano and lead trombone books, and your drummer gets a little space as well. Lead trumpet gets up to a written E at one point, but this could easily be rewritten down. You'll love this exciting new swing chart! Med-difficult.
