This big band arrangement of the Rainbow Connection starts with a mellow orchestration with much of the original feel. After the 1st verse, it breaks with an out of synch chord, and restarts as an up beat, high tempo jazz waltz, which accentuates the beautiful melody and chords. In the middle is a solo section with a straight ahead jazz feel, and chords that wander, giving the piece a new direction, ultimately returning for a big finale. A totally new way of looking at this piece of music. High trumpet range.
