Alexander’s Rag Time Band Swings was written in 2000 by Frank Ferriano for Jazz Ensemble. This is a clever re-working of the 1911 classic tune by Irving Berlin. Lead Trumpet hits a couple of high D’s. Solo spots for Trumpet 4, Tenor 1 and Piano. Up-tempo tune. Quarter note = 192. Great concert opener.
