Despite the title, this piece is more blues-based than an actual blues chart. Scored especially for Kendors Jazz Gateway Series, it is perfect for developing groups. Dense ensemble writing and accessible rhythmic figures support the tuneful melody. All instruments have interesting parts to play, ranges are reasonable, and rhythm parts are notated with chords symbols provided. But thats not all - the chart is playable by as few as 9 pieces and expandable to 17 pieces. Ad lib or as is solo space is provided for any instrument.
