This well-crafted samba featuring solo bass was commissioned by the Saratoga Springs, NY High School Jazz Ensemble directed by Mark Beaubriand. 1st Tenor serves as a second soloist, and alternate, sax-only parts are provided for groups lacking the personnel, equipment or experience to cover the sax doubles listed on the jacket. Optional parts for 5th Trumpet and vibes are also provided, along with a guitar chord chart by Jim Greeson. Duration is 4:25. Ranges: D6 trumpet, G4 trombone
