In 1959 Art Pepper recorded 12 tunes backed by an 11-piece 'little big band.' The Marty Paich charts focused on 'Modern Jazz Classics' including this arrangement of the Charlie Parker/Dizzy Gillespie composition 'Shaw 'Nuff.' This tour de force arrangement features alto and trumpet playing the head in unison with backing from the ensemble. Solos are for alto saxophone and trumpet. An alternate part for the Horn in F (trombone 3) is included. This has been edited and engraved from the original score and parts as supplied to us by Laurie Pepper.
