One of the most beautiful ballads that Neil Slater has ever written, Places has been in the North Texas One O'Clock Lab Band book for a number of years and was finally recorded on their CD Lab 2004. The haunting melody is framed perfectly by Neil's impeccable voicings and color. A 5th Trumpet part that doubles on Flugelhorn is needed. A must for any library at the medium advanced grade level.
