The title says it all - this Allen Carter arrangement delights in throwing in occasional metric shifts between 4/4 and 3/2, so make sure your band is on top of things! Thankfully, the solo sections (for piano and trombone) remain in a steady 4/4 throughout, and the changes are not overly difficult either. The main challenge of this arrangement lies in the need to maintain a constant and comfortable sense of swing even when the time signature shifts are occuring.
