A 'Hit The Road Jack' bass line with a catchy melody and bridge. Two solo spaces provide plenty of opportunities to stretch: the first is for any of the saxes and the second has changes for trumpet and/ or trombone although either could be used for piano or guitar. The final section opens up with some hand clapping support to give the audience a chance to join in with the group of overlapping soloists. Standard jazz ensemble instrumentation: 5 saxes, 4 trumpets, 4 trombones, piano, bass, guitar and drums. Trumpet range to G5 (above the staff) and trombone to F4. As recorded on the John Paulson Big Band CD 'Five Years On.'
