This is a gentle bossa that has a more-than-slight melancholic bent to it. It's a great way to feature your star trumpet soloist, as they are featured as both a soloist and melodic instrument. The backgrounds are never cluttered, but play a lovely supportive role underneath the solos. All trumpets double on flugelhorn. In addition to the featured trumpet, there are also chord changes for a brief tenor sax solo as well.
