Kenny (5-‐4-‐4-‐4) is a concert piece ballad requiring a lot of conducting. Kenny was a neighborhood boy who died tragically young. It is quite moody and dark, but beautiful. Alto Sax 1 doubles on soprano, and trumpets double on flugelhorns. The first solo is for soprano or trumpet 2, and the second solo is for tenor or trombone 1. Highest note for trumpet 1 is written high G-‐flat.
