Beautiful, lushly voiced orchestration, featuring tenor sax (optional parts included to feature trombone 1). A light, easy swing feel in 3/4, building gradually in the intro, using lovely chord moves, thickly voiced. Tenor sax 1 plays the first melody chorus, backed up by pretty, light ensemble moments. The second melody chorus utilizes the full ensemble, with all trumpets in flugels. 3 solo choruses for Tenor Sax, with building backgrounds throughout, and flugels changing to trumpets. Final full ensemble melody is exciting and thickly arranged, capping the piece off with a return to the intro figures, this time rising in register and intensity to the exciting conclusion. Lead trumpet to written D (opt lower notes included.) Lead trombone to high Bb.
