Written by Sara Jacovino, "Other Angles" starts off as a light jazz waltz. The tune veers in many different directions harmonically and melodically, but uses its introductory riff as a point of return at several points. Eventually the arrangement shifts into a 12/8 Afro Cuban feel for an improvised trombone solo before eventually returning to the waltz feel from before. Even though it features some challenging upper register passages, this piece should never sound forced or difficult.
