Here's his own quote: "After my CD was released, I felt the strong wish to conceive a play-along version of my album aimed at trumpet players especially. To help classical trumpet players or those who have no previous experience playing jazz get started improvising, I recorded and notated an exemplary chorus for each song. The solo parts notated here are meant to inspire your own improvisations. You'll find the same songs on my CD 'Own Style,' partly in different versions using other sounds like a Harmon Damper, a Flugelhorn or electronic effects. All solos have been re-recorded for this collection without any effects or dampers, so you'll hear just the pure trumpet tone for better comparison with your own sound.
