Rafael is a 6/8 rhythm in 3-2 Clave. The rhythm section can be as basic as piano, bass and drums. Or it can be Latinized with congas, bongo, timbales and shekere. This song features a Bb soloist playing the lead melody. The highest note for the trumpet is an A4 (above middle C). The highest note for the trombone is a Bb4 (above middle C). This is a fun arrangement that brings the musicians into the most basic & primitive rhythm in Latin music.
