Here is Lush Life Music's take on Nelson Riddle's beautiful chart written for Ella Fitzgerald. They have adapted this chart to make it playable with a regular 5-4-4-4 big band lineup, whilst keeping the feel and flavour of the original concept. Alto 1 doubles Flute, Alto 2 and both Tenors double clarinet and Baritone doubles Bass Clarinet. However, they recognise that not all bands can cover these doubles, so they have printed these parts double-sided, with a no-double option on the reverse. The Flute lead can be taken by either Alto 1 or Tenor 1 too. The brass ranges are moderate and the vocal part is notated as sung by Ella. The vocal key is Ab throughout.
