Straight off the Maynard Ferguson’s famous “Chameleon” album. Jay Chattaway’s great tune is exactly like the recorded version except for the added 3rd & 4th trombone and 4th & 5th sax parts and optional lower octaves added to the trumpet parts to help student performers who can’t play the extreme ranges of the original. As the title indicates, trombone and bari sax are featured throughout. Not easy but well worth the effort, this wonderful chart is an outstanding choice for concert or festival use.
