Based on impressions of John Coltrane’s playing, this composition begins with an accompanying ostinato under an ethereal soprano melody. The alto joins the soprano homo-rhythmically for the bridge while the tenor and baritone play a new ostinato-‐‑like supporting line. Solo is in the soprano. Accompaniment is founded on an improvised bass line transcribed from a quintet version. The bass line is harmonized and provides a diverse and deep musical experience.
