After a brief slow and moody introduction the piece romps thru various styles including a jazz samba, funk, medium swing. and very fast swing. Lead trumpet has some optional high Gs. Premiered at the Texas Music Educators Conference in 1986 by the Texas Christian University Jazz Ensemble. A powerful and melodic composition for mature bands.
