NOVEMBER NOTES: Below you will also see some of our November new releases: Mam'Selle from Frank Sinatra, and, just in time for the holidays, Here Comes Santa Claus as recorded by Bing Crosby and Peggy Lee. We also have two more brand new ones from the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, Chris Crenshaw's Bearden (The Block) and Carlos Henriquez's Two-Three's (2/3's) Adventure. Our other new Jazz Lines Publications releases are from two of our leading lights, Thad Jones (Forever Lasting) and Mary Lou Williams (Bearcat Shuffle), and another from Don Redman, The Chant as written for the Fletcher Henderson Orchestra. We also have three new charts from Kendor Music, composed and arranged by friends of ejazzlines David Springfield, Mike Dana, and Doug Beach.
Sierra Music has added four more to its 2021 new issues series, all from Billy Byers as written for the Count Basie Orchestra: Call Me Irresponsible, I'll Get By, Shangri-La, and This Love of Mine. OCTOBER NEW RELEASE PAGES HIGHLIGHTS: October's new release pages introduced new editions of five Walrus Music Publishing historic arrangements: Don Menza's Beulah Witch as written for Buddy Rich, Bob Florence's A Soundsketch, and three little big band charts from Rob McConnell: For All We Know, The Outlaw, and Speak Low. All of these have been thoroughly re-edited and re-engraved.
The other October Jazz Lines Publications releases were big band and small group/combo versions of Scratchin' in the Gravel, also from Mary Lou Williams. Highlights from other publishers include Hal Leonard's release of Mike Tomaro's little big band version of Christmas Time is Here and Eric Miyashiro's Trains as written for the Blue Note Tokyo All-Star Jazz Orchestra. Finally, we introduced another ten brand new big band charts from Walrus Music Publishing's most popular composer/arranger, Tom Kubis-please click here to view them all.
