When Bill Holman writes a feature for a player, especially in the Kenton Band, you know it will be wonderful. He wrote this one to feature the amazing trombonist Carl Fontana. Carl is a terrific melody, scored in the inimitable, swinging way of Holman. The demands on the brass sections are not too bad, so the piece is very playable. 5-5-5-3 (can be played with 8 brass)
