A brief transition moves the tempo up to a medium swing for the alto's improvised solo (easy accessible changes) before returning to the original ballad tempo to restate the final A section of the melody. Two brief cadenzas lead to an ensemble coda that supports the soloist to the end of the chart. Ensemble trumpet range to a brief written high C.
