"Why Are You Blue," Originally written for Johnny Hodges by Gary McFarland, is a slow swinger that features solos by trombone and tenor. Although not a blues, it should have that down home, in-the-pocket feel all the way through. I believe the trombone solo should be done with plunger but leave that up to the band leader.
