This octet chart features a beautiful lyrical melody with a combination of traditional and modern harmony, with richly textured harmonic voicings in the horns. The solo section features a nice unison background melody to be played by either the brass or the woodwind. Solos are written in several parts. There is also a drum solo section that features a syncopated ostinato figure underneath the drums to solo over.
