Edition: Jazz Big Band Arrangement with Vocal

Description: Ballad - Medium

Publisher: Jazz Lines Publications

Here is another classic Sinatra arrangement, this one from the pen of Nelson Riddle. In 1966 Frank Sinatra collaborated with the Count Basie Orchestra to produce a series of shows at the Sands Hotel. 'Sinatra Live at the Sands' was the now-famous recording that was made. Quincy Jones led the band and modified arrangements that were previously written by Nelson Riddle and Billy Byers.

This arrangement of the Rube Bloom classic tune moves along at approximately 69 bpm - a very laid back swing feel. Towards the end there is a great band shout section - and they really shout and build to a climax before dropping back down for Frank's entrance. The end of the arrangement will require some conducting as there are multiple fermatas. The vocal key is E flat throughout and there are no doubles. This arrangement is based on the original Nelson Riddle score - this is not a transcription!
