Description: Medium Difficult

This is a modern ECM-style composition that features baritone saxophone and trumpet in a moody and pensive setting. A tuneful melody comprised of wide intervals sets the stage for your trumpeter and baritone saxophonist to stretch their improvisational chops. Following the trumpet solo, the ensemble plays a tight-knit tutti interlude that leads in to the bari solo, followed by a lyrical shout section. This composition was recorded by Aaron Lington and Paul Tynan on their album Bicoastal Collective: Chapter One (OA2 Records 22051). Tenor saxophone doubles on a brief flute part. Baritone saxophone doubles on bass clarinet. Top note for lead trumpet is a B above the staff, and top note for lead trombone is an A above the staff. A,T, B, 2 Tpts, 1 Bone, G,P, B,& D.
