This is a jewel at this level! A Gospel-tinged groove with straightforward harmony will make this chart a breeze to rehearse and perform. The rhythm section parts are well-written and very playable.

Program Notes:
This even-eighth note chart clocks in at 150 bpm and opens with a big ensemble introduction. The catchy melody and gospel tinged harmony introduced with the saxes at bar 11 is picked up by the trumpets. The solo section includes suggested written solos for alto 1 and trumpet 1, but improvisation is always encouraged. Cue the backgrounds in the Trombones in and out behind the soloists. The closing section at 85 uses material from the ensemble introduction to tie the chart together and it ends with a dramatic flair.
