This blues is a great introduction to second line for a high school big band. It alternates between a New Orleans groove and swing. The melody is a simple riff blues, but the regular blues chords have been re-harmonized to add interest. Solos are written for tenor, trumpet, and bass; however, these would be easily flexible given the simple form.
