The Wizard is an up-tempo modern swing chart featuring solos for Tenor sax and Trombone. This is a very challenging composition and was dedicated to pianist Herbie Hancock (see if you can find the Hancock song quotes). The song moves back from up swing to a '1' feel through some of the solo sections. The ensemble section will definitely require some rehearsal but will be worth the time. The lead trumpet part goes up to written C.
