OCTOBER NOTES: (October 1st Update) Today we have a particularly interesting new release-Street of Dreams as written for Art Farmer by Oliver Nelson. The opening track on 1962's Listen to Art Farmer and the Orchestra, it wastes no time in showcasing both Farmer's romantic flugelhorn and Nelson's dense, complex arranging style. Don't be fooled by the slow tempo - this is a highly challenging piece that will require minute ensemble precision to pull off, but the end result is more than worth the effort.

We have more from Walrus Music Publishing friends Jim Cifelli and Bill Cunliffe. We also have a brand new vocal arrangement of Sweet Georgia Brown from Mark Taylor, and another new original from Michele Fernández, Sao Meu Sol (Olhos Verdes), an uplifting Brazilian samba that was written as an anniversary gift to her husband.

RECENT HIGHLIGHTS: September's New Charts pages have more great new Christmas music, including Ella Fitzgerald's Sleigh Ride (yes, the version in Elf!) and Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow! We also released Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas from the Glenn Miller Orchestra, and three from Tony Bennett, Santa Claus is Comin' to Town, Christmas Medley, and Where is Love? A very popular new one is Sofrito from Michael Philip Mossman, and we have more new music from Michele Fernández and Mark Taylor, as well as more from Jim Cifelli and Bill Cunliffe.
