Inspired by Cole Porter’s exceptional Easy to Love chord changes, Peter Blair offers a new spin with a wonderful original melody.

I have played Easy to Love on countless gigs and always enjoyed the wonderful Cole Porter chord changes. He was a master at marrying a lyric to a melody and I had a great time doing a deeper dive into this piece to come up with a new melody that would do justice to the original. I’m not sure if I succeeded – I will leave that decision up to you. Instead of presenting the melody all in one solo voice, as a singer would do, I split the tune up between the sections of the band so each player would have an interesting part to play.
