This is an accessible arrangement of a classic chart, written to show off your ensemble’s skills. Takes inspiration from many great recordings and puts it all into one fun arrangement!

There are so many great recordings of the famous song – I had an excellent time listening to some fantastic recordings. I checked out everything from Ella Fitzgerald to Willie Nelson to (of course) the master, Ray Charles. Since this arrangement is intended for younger musicians, I decided not to make it a crazy, driving 12/8 feel but landed on a moderately slowish swing that will allow the band to show off their ensemble skills.
