Gerry Mulligan's Thruway (recorded in 1957) is an AABA contrafact based on the jazz standard Broadway popularized by Count Basie. This arrangement is from the same recording session as Mullenium; ironically, it’s the same format as Mullenium as it starts with a piano chorus up front from Mulligan. Includes transcribed solos for alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, baritone saxophone, trombone, Part of the 2024-25 Essentially Ellington High School Jazz Band Program.
